All Switch-Socket-Outlets (non-interlock type) are required to mandatory obtain ISI certification under IS 15787:2008. This standard deals specifically with non-interlock fixed switched socket-outlets designed solely for AC use, with or without earthing contact, and rated voltage not exceeding 440V and rated current not exceeding 32A. Not much. These devices are intended for domestic and similar applications, whether they are used indoors or outdoors.
It is important to note that without ISI mark these products cannot be exported, imported or sold in the Indian consumer market.
