BIS (Quality Control) Amendment Order for the Methyl Acrylate
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued an Amendment Order, 2025, known as the Methyl Acrylate (Quality Control) Order, 2021. Effective from the 31st of March, 2026, this order applies to goods or articles of Methyl Acrylate, excluding those intended for export.
Goods or articles of Methyl Acrylate must conform to the corresponding Indian Standard IS 14707:1999 and bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, according to Scheme-I of Schedule II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards is designated as the certifying and enforcing authority for Methyl Acrylate.
IMPOERTANT NOTES :
Violation of this order is punishable under the provisions of the relevant Act.
